The Ford Crown Victoria is a full-size car that Ford produced from 1992 to 2011. The Crown Victoria was based on the Ford Panther platform, also used for the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car.
It was the successor to the Ford LTD Crown Victoria and was the final model of the Crown Victoria line. The model was available in two body styles: a four-door sedan and a four-door station wagon.
All Crown Victorias were equipped with rear-wheel drive and a four-speed automatic transmission. During its production, the Crown Victoria was one of the best-selling cars in America. Its popularity declined in the late 2000s as SUVs and trucks became more popular.
The last Crown Victoria was produced in 2011, after which the Ford Taurus replaced it.
