The Fiat 124 is a compact car that was produced by the Italian automaker Fiat between 1966 and 1974. It was introduced at the Turin Auto Show in November 1966 as a direct replacement for the Fiat 1300 and 1400. Both of which were simply Facelifted versions of the earlier Fiat 1100.
The 124 model was instantly successful, winning the European Car of the Year award in 1967. It went on to be produced in various body styles, including sedan, station wagon, and convertible.
In 1970, a more powerful engine version was introduced, and the car was renamed the 124 Sport Spider. Production continued until 1974 when it was replaced by the Fiat 131.
Today, the Fiat 124 is a highly sought-after classic car, with models in good condition fetching high prices at auction.
